Chiba Student Exchange Every year, the Japan-America Society of Houston selects six middle school students to participate in our annual student exchange. This program allows students to spend two weeks in Chiba, Japan in a homestay with a Japanese family. The student will attend a Japanese middle school and visit local areas of interest as a youth ambassador for Houston. Cost for each student is $1,500, which includes airfare, all lodging for two weeks, chaperoned travel, and regional sightseeing. Participants return to Houston with a new awareness of the world and an experience engraved in their memory forever. Our potential Chiba student applicants have been received for this year and we can't wait until next year! |
