The Golden Pavillion, Kyoto Japan Kinkaku-ji (otherwise known throughout the world as the Golden Pavillion) resides in Kyoto, Japan. Originally built in 1397 A.D., this building (and the surrounding land) has become a steady stream of interest amongst the Japanese people (and tourists). The top two floors of the structure are coated with pure Golf leaf and presumably contains remnants of Buddha. In 1950, this structure was badly burned and rebuilt. |
