LEARNING THE LANGUAGE Our classes teach the fundamentals and general understanding of the Japanese Language - both reading and writing. Like any language, the beginner's level is easy to comprehend. As the classes advance, a simple commitment to basic homework will dramatically increase your grasp on the Japanese language. Our classes are divided into a wide range of classes and skills levels, all occurring on different days on the week.

OUR CLASS INFORMATION JASH language classes are held at the office of the Japan-America Society from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Classes occur on different days of the week. For example, beginner's level (the first level of classes) occurs on a Tuesday. The classes are informal and small (less than 12 students) by design. The tutorial-teaching style provides a stronger learning environment for everyone. Typically, as our classes advance to higher levels, we reduce the size of the classes as well. |
OUR CLASS LOCATION Our language classes are held at 4801 Woodway Dr., Suite 140E in Houston (zip code 77056). The classes themselves are located in the office of the Japan-America Society of Houston - in our conference rooms. Free, safe parking is provided on either side of the building. Our building management provides on-site security for added protection. Our office building remains air-conditioned during our classes and brief 'breaks are provided.' |
LANGUAGE CLASS FEES Language Classes for non-members of JASH: ($175) per 8 week course. Language Classes for members of JASH: ($130) per 8 week course. Study materials for JASH Japanese Language Classes: $57.00 (note - this includes your workbook and study guide. This book will last far beyond your first level of classes). Please note that our classes are not refundable once each session begins. |

Our Next Language Classes will begin the first week of January 2010. On January 4th, 2010, we were forced to re-adjust our class schedule due to a last minute change in instructors. Here is the revised schedule for the first session of 2010: Beginner's Class - Monday, January 4th 2010 Level 2 Classes - Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 Level 3 Classes - Tuesday, January 5th, 2010 Level 5 Classes - Monday, January 4th 2010 Intermediate Classes - Wednesday, January 6th 2010 Level 11 Classes - Thursday, January 7th 2010
