About Donna Cole:

Ms. Cole is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Cole Chemical, Inc. which she founded in 1980.  To date, Cole Chemical, Inc. has attained a myriad of a achievements such as being the recipient of Chrysler's coveted Gold Pentastar Award for the last 11 years as well as ranked by Purchasing Magazine as one of the top 100 chemical distributors in the United States of America.  Ms. Cole is a major advocate of local non-profit organizations and is listed as a Board of Director for several Houston-area organizations that value her experience and effort.  The Japan-America Society considers itself very fortunate to have Ms. Donna Cole at the helm of our goals and efforts for the new year.

Carl Rosa

Executive Director of the Japan-America Society of Houston

About Carl Rosa:

Mr. Rosa became the Interim Executive Director in October 2007 to assist the office during a management transition.  Since his integration into our organization, he has consistently revamped a number of challenges and pursued his objectives with tremendous effort.  On December 20th, 2007, Mr. Rosa was voted as the full-time Executive Director of the Japan-America Society of Houston.  He is also the President and Founder of the Sushi Club of Houston which he created in October of 2006.  Thirteen months after it's creation, Carl proudly supports over 500 sushi club members and hosts a minimum of three events per month to accommodate the immense interest in his organization.

A Glimpse into our Annual Holiday Celebration

The Japan-America Society hosted a celebration to say goodbye to 2007. Thanks to the vast interest of our members, over 70 people attended our celebration which was held at the JASH office.  Members took the opportunity to meet our Board of Directors while chatting with each other.  From 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the JASH office swarmed with the great sounds of laughter and conversation with every attendee enjoyed the refreshments of the evening.  Although 2007 is nearly over, our office is already beginning to plan next years final celebration.  We can only hope to exceed the attendance and obvious enjoyment of this year's festivities.
